OK, I’ll be honest. I’ve heard about the SolidWorks World Survival guide (found here at the bottom of the page) but I never read it. I know, shame on me. So here’s my final tip before SolidWorks World.
Read the Survival Guide written by John “Muggs” Ferguson. It’s full of everything you need to know about SolidWorks World.
Get there early..!! You won’t regret it.
I’ve been to 3 SolidWorks Worlds and last year I arrvied on Sunday later in the afternoon. That will be my last time doing that! If you can, try to get there a day early so you can get regestered and look around a little before the conference starts.
Ok, I haven’t been to every SolidWorks World but I’ve been to enough to have a few tips and suggestions for the first timer. Over the next several weeks I’ll be posting what I’ve learned over the last few years.
Tip #1 Technical Sessions. Have a few options.
I always have at least 2 technical session for each time slot that I’d like to attend. Why do I do this? Because if for some reason the session I’m sitting in isn’t exactly what I thought it would be, I can quickly go to another session that I have on my agenda.
So don’t be afraid to jump ship and head off to another session.
